Job Summary Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will perform analysis and reporting for assigned financial area with minimal supervision. Support other financial research projects and analysis of business operations. Use sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), creating and/or reviewing journal entries, preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, distributing routine financial reports, maintaining monthly accounting schedules. Minimum 5 years related experience. Accountabilities Provide support for financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Participate in and review period-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including identification and resolution of unusual items and issues Create and maintain monthly accounting schedules as support for the balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations. Respond to information requests from external/internal CCG customers Distribute generated financial accounting reports. Provide guidance and communicate with remote team members in a 3rd party outsourcing relationship. Perform general accounting activities in the SAP general ledger, which includes preparing and reviewing journal entries through the Cadency tool. Exercise judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis to identify and help resolve issues. Prioritize multiple activities simultaneously. Evaluate effectiveness of processes, procedures, and control environment and develop improvements as needed. Document and review processes (e.g. desk procedures) and recommend process improvements. Alert management of situations that may materially affect the company's overall financial condition. Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment both within and outside of assigned area of responsibility. Participate in special projects involving general accounting, such as mergers/acquisitions, FASB updates, business partner requests, and systems conversions. Lead projects in the assigned area. Principal Challenges/Complexity Assist with the closing of financial systems and identify and resolve unusual items and issues in a timely and accurate manner. Prioritize multiple activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of both scheduled and extemporaneous tasks within a tight deadline. Ability to reach out to various levels within the organization in order to resolve issues. Ability to identify and promptly communicate situations that may materially affect the company's overall financial condition. Functional involvement in change management is frequent and eminent.
